UPPER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM
Ages 9-12 years | Grades 4-5
Students in grades 4 and 5 form the Upper Elementary Program and continue their work both independently and cooperatively with other students. The curriculum in the Upper Elementary Program is highly integrated and includes increasingly abstract lessons. With a strong educational foundation, students focus on academics and discover resources needed to meet academic goals.
Self-motivated students in the Upper Elementary Program embrace skills in research and the process of discovery, making connections across disciplines, and are confident, resourceful, and independent children with a love of learning.

The Upper Elementary academic program includes language arts, mathematics, science, geography, history, practical life skills, and capstone experiences. Students can also choose from the following co-curricular; performing arts, visual arts, technology and innovation, media, and physical education.
Teachers work to create a unique academic environment to strongly support students in their learning. Academic goals achieved in upper elementary will ensure student success in middle school, high school, and beyond.
